This is a class for mamas who want to push themselves safely and find release and relaxation. No experience with yoga needed. All trimesters welcome. Connect deeply to your body, mind, and growing babe. You will learn how to respond intelligently and mindfully to your body's cues and how to use your breath to guide your practice, your pregnancy and prepare you for labor and delivery.
Sessions will be one-hour long and conducted in a small-group format so you get the personalized attention you deserve. You will have the opportunity to ask questions so you can become your own best teacher throughout your pregnancy.
Classes will be taught by pregnant instructor Emily Tara Sabalbaro, a certified and experienced yoga instructor who has taught for 5 years in Philadelphia. She will provide space for you to laugh, cry, chill out, or do whatever you emotionally need that day. She will help you get to know your fellow students to build camaraderie and community, and provide insights into yoga philosophy and meditation to help you build a home mindfulness practice. You will leave each class with a better understanding of why we practice certain poses and breathing techniques while pregnant.
Prenatal yoga helps you stay centered and grounded during pregnancy and supports a calm household for when baby arrives. No yoga mat needed, studio provides a fully padded floor perfect for yoga.
Classes will be held at Movemakers Philly at 2100 Chestnut Street, Floor 2, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Classes meet every Friday from 1 PM - 2 PM, through July 28.
Single classes are $12/class, or class packages can be purchased for $40 for 4 sessions.
