MoveMakers Philly is campaigning to launch classes in Powelton Village. Join our efforts!
In the 2025/2026 school year, parents have the option to bring students to our programs at 36th and Baring inside St Andrew and St Monica Church. There will be classes for students in kindergarten and up.
We need 30 families registered exclusively for our regular class program in order to launch. We also have a separate After School Pick Up program serving families at Samuel Powel and SLA Middle School. Pricing and policies are different for After School Pick Up. Hip Hop Dance and Breaking at Powelton Village
MoveMakers Philly has provided hip hop dance education in Rittenhouse and Washington Square for 10 years.
MoveMakers is devoted to teaching the history, culture and vocabulary of street dance. Students learn a variety of styles. They also learn how to freestyle and perform choreography. Our program is committed to teaching students to be strong collaborators. Performance is central to our program. Throughout the season, the students have a number of opportunities to perform in events and competitions in a variety of venues.
MoveMakers dance students gain the skills and opportunities to entertain and inspire their community, resulting in pride and confidence that benefits them for life.
