MoveMakers Philly After School Pick Up Program is devoted to supporting students with achieving excellence via a variety of disciplines. Our program is built on 10 years of programming in Rittenhouse and Washington Square.
MoveMakers provides students the opportunity to explore a diverse range of art and athletics. They can either experience everything offered or they can choose to specialize.
The primary class program is Dance. All After School Pick Up students are automatically registered for dance classes. Students may elect for private music lessons, which require an additional a la carte fee. Music Lab and Arts Lab are integrated into every After School Participant’s experience . Our music lab features digital music production and beat making. Our Arts Lab features traditional arts and crafts as well as digital art and animation. Both labs are taught in a group format.
Our goal is to support your child with balance and integration between school and home. We strive to be a bridge and intermediary that supports harmony for all at home after a long day of work and learning.

Serving Kindergarten and above We pick up from: Samuel Powel SLA Middle School …and More (Tell us more about your school. We are happy to explore options!) We offer pick up on half days and day camps on school closures for an addition price ***For families that do not need pick up and will bring students independently, there is a separate membership structure and policies from our After School Pick Up Program. Class Programs
Dance MoveMakers focuses on street dance. Our beginner classes focus on hip hop foundations and breaking (commonly known as break dance). Intermediates and above learn foundational styles including locking, popping, house, waacking and vogue. Dance is automatically included with After School Pick Up Tuition. Dance Class Scheduling We offer a dance class for 5-7 years and 8-11 years daily. When there is enough demand class hours are added for middle school and high school age groups. Classes are typically 45min for 5-7yos or 45-60min. On weekdays, 5-7yrs classes typically start between 3:30pm and 3:45pm. 8-11 years classes start between 4:15pm and 4:30pm for older students. Middle school and high school age groups typically start between 5:00 and 5:30pm. On Saturdays, classes typically operate 10am-1pm. Music Philly Music Factory is the music school partner of MoveMakers, offering private lessons in Rittenhouse since 2017. We offer a wide spectrum of instruments including piano, voice, guitar, drums, violin, cello, saxophone, trumpet and more. We also offer music ensemble programs to more advanced students. Music private lessons require a separate a la carte payment from after school tuition or dance class monthly tuition. Music Lesson Scheduling Music lessons are available Mon-Friday 3:15-7pm. They are offered in 30min, 45min and 60min times slots. When a student reserves a specific lesson day and time during the week, this time is held for the particular student for the duration of the school season, unless they reschedule to another day or discontinue. However, depending on lesson availability, once a day and time slot is determined, rescheduling is not guaranteed.
